Summary

The course is set in the picturesque Cotswolds, three miles south of Cheltenham in open rolling countryside, and offers a championship standard course. Opened in 1976, the course has matured over the years, and is now regarded as one of Gloucestershire's premier courses featuring some challenging but fair holes. It's a past venue for the English Ladies' Amateur Championship, the prestigious 'Cotswold Gold Vase', and county championships. Golfers will find that the well-designed tree-lined course has open fairways and plenty of room and despite their name, the course is relatively flat. Visitors of all abilities will enjoy the course, not least by experiencing the beauty of the local countryside.

Summary

The 18 hole, par 72 championship course has been designed to obtain the greatest possible benefit from the natural form of the hillside - the varying undulations as the hill falls from a height of 600 feet to 200 feet at the base of the course: the streams and small ponds which time has worn into the landscape plus many tree and wooded areas which have been left as nature planted and nurtured and which gives the course a natural beauty - and its golfders some natural hazards! The first 11 holes will have you negotiating the lower slopes with streams running parallel and across the fairways. Enjoy the 12th which is a challenging uphill par 3 before entering the scenic holes which overlook Gloucester and the beautiful surrounding countryside; these incorporate some interesting and tricky holes - especially the downhill 18th where many golfers have tried to drive the green, with disastrous consequences!
