No. The site is public and always will be. This means anyone can access the information on AddmySupport and find help and support whenever they need it.

AddmySupport does not share your postcode with any other companies. Your postcode is used to find you the right local information and to verify your support is genuine and unique.

This allows us to ensure the site is as safe as possible and the support that is added is genuine. AddmySupport never shows your real name to other users. Instead we allow users to create their own username which will be shown whenever they contribute to the site.

AddmySupport allows user to opt to make anything they add "Anonymous". Anonymous content will not be displayed on your profile and allows people to openly discuss issues they may not wish everyone to view.

To cancel your AddmySupport account please use the contact us link to send a message stating you want to close your account.
Please note that cancelling your AddmySupport account will not remove any content you have created, unless you delete each piece of content individually before you close your account.

Once you are a member you can follow this link to control all the notification emails you receive from AddmySupport.

Individuals, Charities, Clubs and Teams, Businesses, Schools, Public figures, and Groups can all join.

Members can make contributions to the site in several ways. By registering with AddmySupport many of these processes are made much quicker and easier- for example: "One Click Support"
Members can connect with other users, post support requests, create their own content, make recommendations and set up your own dedicated Support Pages for campaigns, personal goals and life's challenges.

If you choose not to become a member you can still use the site to find out information, read others opinions and recommendations and support others campaigns and goals.

We provide useful content, such as guides and articles, as well as recommendations and contacts, but we cannot answer specific legal questions or give advice on individual cases.

AddmySupport commissions some of its own pieces from trusted experts and people who have had unique experiences that others can benefit from. Other content and resource recommendations are written and added by the public.
We constantly try to review the most popular content and ensure the content is accurate and as useful as possible.

AddmySupport provides an open platform for the users to contribute to but does not endorse or support any of the content submitted by users, unless it is clearly marked otherwise.

You can advertise and promote fundraising events, and create links to allow people to donate, but AddmySupport does not directly manage donations or any other form of fundraising.

We are looking at solutions to allow users to fundraise directly through the website.

You can register as a Public Figure using the standard registration form, and we will contact you directly to discuss how we may be able to help you and the causes you support.

You should only meet up with another user of AddmySupport if you definitely know who they are- not just know their username. If you do decide to meet with someone you have met on AddmySupport never do it alone or without telling someone where you are going and what you will be doing.
If possible when you arrange to meet ask someone else to come along with you. If you are planning to get together as part of a group or campaign then try to arrange to get together as a group.
regardless of how confident you feel about meeting with someone or a group of people always meet them in a public space, such as a coffee shop. Never agree to visit someone at their home or somewhere they will collect you.

There are lots of reasons to support things on AddmySupport. The more support something has, the more likely it is to actually happen- good old fashioned people power!

The main reason Support helps is that it raises awareness of the need or issue and others start to take notice. You can support individuals, organisations, personal goals, campaigns, public figures, causes and charities, clubs, groups and teams.
You can also support other site members directly. Add support to friends, family, people going through something you have experienced, people you admire...in fact anyone you want to.

You can Support things you want to recommend- things that helped you, things you like, things that have helped you. By supporting a resource, or piece of content, you are adding your recommendation to it.
