Here is the flip side of Wayne Bridge's decision to make himself unavailable for England in the 2010 World Cup...
John Terry was stripped of the England captaincy following the allegations of his affair with Wayne Bridge's ex-girlfriend Vannessa Perroncel.
Fabio Capello, acted quickly to maintain squad unity ahead of the World Cup finals, and removed Terry's captaincy with immediate effect.
But with Wayne Bridge ruling himself out of the England World Cup squad for the finals in South Africa the threat of division within the England squad is removed.
So should John Terry be reinstated as England Captain if Wayne Bridge doesn't play?

lets hope capello sees some sense and re-instates JT for the world cup final, he obviously has someone in the camp who knows nothing about leadership giving him very bad advice. if you so called England fans on here want us to win the world cup then you must know only JT is the man to lead us out. its about time this countries obsession with sticking the boot in to anything that is associated with chelsea stopped and the sad morons doing it got a life. Good thing Terry lost the captains armband, he is suppose to be an example to his team mates and to all the english supporters. His wife should take him to the cleaners, he deserves it. Lampard or Gerrard will be good captains for the english team. Shame Rooney is crocked up, so sad too bad, Bayern must win the 2nd game again.

John Terry is the best England Captain in recent history, so what if he made a mistake. He isn't the first and I doubt he'll be the last, but to take away his captaincy could damage Englands chances in the world cup, see sense Capello, for god's sake!!,

i think john terry should be captain again and the media just blew this to abit too much john is human and made a mistake so did alot of other football players and wayne is behaving like a child get over it that was his ex-girlfriend so forget it and forgive but then again his loss was johns gain but overall i want john terry to be england captain again...and Chelsea rocks

JT was wrong but this doesn,t mean that the other party(WB ex-WAG)shouldn,t share part of the blame. She is a wore as simple as that and this type of lady goes around to cause a lot hassle between friends.As for the captaincy he shouldn,t have been stripped of it.It,s the fault of english press.They made these guys and they also break them. What has this got to do with his football. This guy gives all is heart into it whenever he plays for england. In my own opinion RIO cannot make a good leader,may be SG can leave up to it if he produces his liverpool form.As for JT he is consistent in his form and this country need someone of that calibre if they are to come near to win this coming world cup. The decision made by capello should have been based purely on football and not what these guys do off the pitch. Footballers are overpaid already and remember ladies of nowadays will do anything to have a slice of this cake.
What happens off hte pitch stays off the pitch JT was the best england captain and becasue of a girl that wanted to make a bit off money he has been stripped of the title is appauling, lets hope cappello rethinks and brings Terry back.
