I'm looking for a special Valentines Day gift for my wife this year (as I didn't get anything at all last year!)

I was thinking about some type of personalised Valentines gift, but there are so many different choices and most the gifts I've seen look pretty tacky (okay for a hen night but not exactly romantic!)

This year I want to make sure she has a Valentines Day to remember! She likes most things, but especially likes dance, musicals, flowers, chocolates...girly things basically!

Has anyone got any great ideas or bought something in the past their other-half loved?

I think I have well and truly redeemed myself this year. My wife will be very happy but my bank manager won't! I pulled out the big guns this year and went for a La Dress gift voucher. Even as a bloke I can tell these dresses are amazing and she loves her clothes so i know she will love this gift!)

Because it is only a gift voucher, I want her to have something on Valentines Day itself so I also ordered a few smaller romantic gifts from Pressies for Princesses. To top it all off I have flowers arriving on the day (as advised by Ben- thanks!) and a cute mug with a picture of us on it (I think suggested by Simon.) The idea is that the mug gives her something to remember the day by - even when she is back at work!

I now feel like somewhat of an expert so I hope this helps anyone else looking for a romantic gift for their wife or girlfriend. If the truth be told most these suggestions are not mine but come from Ben and Simon (friends of mine).
