Susan is being well looked after by her management team, including Simon Cowell, and she seems to be planning a promotional tour of American (see link to article below.)
Susan has overcome so much to get to where she is now and deserves all the success she is set to receive. Please add a message of support to Susan (using the "Add my Support" link on the right) or read on to see why this Support Page was originally created.
Susan Boyle returned to the stage on Friday night as part of the Britain’s Got Talent live tour. This is just two weeks after she was admitted to The Priory and is said to be doing incredibly well.
With the news that Susan Boyle had been admitted to London's Priory Clinic suffering with exhaustion, it seems like the media have got the story they wanted! Please use the Add my Support button and add your own message of support to Susan Boyle now. (Of course since her comeback performance on Friday it looks as though she has overcome the initial media battle- well done Susan!)
During her first audition Britain watched as Susan Boyle's performance turned around the audiences, and judges, perception of her eventually resulting in a standing ovation from everyone. The interest from the world's media has seen her catapulted into the public eye around the world.
The British media have done a wonderful job of building Susan Boyle up as a person to inspire hope and open-mindedness to a nation, but yet already it seems like this, or her amazing singing voice, isn't enough of a story. In true British press fashion the backlash has already begun!
Instead of celebrating her talent and success since first appearing on Britain's Got Talent, the reporting has changed to focus on flaws in her semi-final performance and to questioning the honesty of the humorous, throw-away comments she made during her audition which the world's press was so keen to print ("never been married, never been kissed. Ooh shame!")
Susan Boyle has also been criticised for her rumoured short temper and changes to her personal appearance (she dyed her hair). Did anyone really expect her to appear in front of the Queen (if she had become the eventual winner of Britain's got Talent) wearing exactly what she was wearing when she first appeared for her audition, and without taking at least a little bit of time over her appearance.
So i have created this Support Page to ask people to add their support to Susan Boyle, for her wonderful singing and for who she is now and not what the media are trying to make (or break) her into.
Please add a message of support to Susan now.
